Logistic Support is all encompassing and starts at the design of the product during the initial phase of the product life cycle and includes Logistic Engineering. It is not only about the repair and maintenance of the product at the end of production when entering service. Logistic Engineering includes the Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) activity, resulting in the Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR), among others.
Training, manuals and technical publications are also an important part of Logistic Support, as well as test equipment, which Tellumat develops for their own and OEM products at O-, I- and D-level.
Supply management is also included in Logistic Support, particularly obsolescence management. Options available are to do nothing until the need arises (not recommended), monitor obsol escence, plan system upgrades to design obsolescence out or make a lifetime buy where one has known obsolescence.
Product repair facilities exist within Tellumat with hardware and software engineering back up for system expertise, technical assistance and product improvement.
