Q1:
Who is the Dealer and who is the Owner?

A1:
The Dealer is typically a company set up for the purpose of operating the M744/M850 GSM community payphones. The Dealer purchases community payphones directly from Tellumat and configures them to operate with the Dealers own SIM cards before on-selling the community payphone to an Owner. The Dealer requires the technical capability to configure the community payphones with the desired tariffs and dialing codes and provide first-line support to their customers. The Dealer will also operate a computer based management system that is used to load airtime and remotely manage the configuration of the community payphones. The Owner purchases the community payphones from the Dealer and makes the community payphones available to the general public. When the airtime available in the telephones electronic purse is low, the Owner would typically contact the Dealer (or airtime vendor) to purchase more airtime.

Q2:
Why is there a minimum order quantity for the M744 and M850 Community Payphones?

A2:
The initial configuration of the M744 and M850 community Telephones and the subsequent operation of the Management System require an investment in training and computer equipment. The training and support cannot be economically justified when very small quantities of telephones are operated. Please contact Tellumat if you want more information on becoming an M744/M850 Dealer. If you wish to operate a small number of telephones, Tellumat can put you in contact with the Dealer in your area.
